Day at the Springs

Colorado Springs, that is. That's what they call it around here.

Something cool that we got to visit is the Air Force Academy. They had a visitor's center with some kind of plane in it. D isn't writing this post so that's as detailed as it's gonna get with regard to the type of plane. It looks like it was a fast one. Now, not so much.

J wanted to hug it. And rub it. And talk about it's past life as an actual flying plane.

Here he is shown trying to get close to another plane. We like to call this kind "airplane on a stick."

Something special about this day is that we had D's parents with us for a short visit. Here they are shown in front of the AFA chapel, which has awesome architecture.

We had to take grandma and grandpa through the Garden of the Gods after telling them all about it, since it was nearby.
